Jacquie Beltrao has worked at Sky since 1992 firstly as a publicist for Sky Sports, then as a reporter on Soccer Saturday, then as a presenter on Sky Sports and Sky Sports News before moving to Sky News in 1999.
At Sky News Jacquie Beltrao worked on some great events but tennis is my favourite. Jacquie Beltrao covered Wimbledon every year since 2005 and the US Open from Flushing Meadows in New York, which has to be one of my top places in the world, it’s such a buzz to be there.
Jacquie Beltrao was a reporter first of all she still get to go out and about with a microphone and talk to the likes of Andre Agassi, Serena Williams, Andy Murray, Frank Lampard and Thierry Henry.
Prior to working at Sky, Jacquie Beltrao was a gymnastics commentator for Eurosport and ITV. Jacquie Beltrao worked in Sports Marketing for five years before going into broadcasting and before that was a British Gymnast from the age of 7 until 22. Jacquie Beltrao was the British Rhythmic gymnastics champion several times and represented Great Britain at the Los Angeles Olympics in 1984. Her most embarrassing moment at work was when someone spotted that there was some Youtube footage of her competing and they played it live into their show .didn’t see that coming.. she looked so young !
