Janine Machin’s career began at BBC Radio Stoke, where after answering phones on the station’s lunchtime programme, her talent was quickly spotted and she was given her own afternoon show.
From there she went on to co-present the station’s Breakfast Show. In 2005 Janine became the solo presenter of the Breakfast Show, helping it to become one of the most popular, lively and listened to breakfast shows in BBC Radio Stoke’s 40 years of broadcasting.
Television editor at BBC Cambridge Lisa Reynolds said: “I’m delighted that Janine Machin is joining Look East as our new reporter/presenter in Cambridge. “Janine Machin has been presenting the Breakfast show on BBC Radio stoke since 2003, and was involved in the local TV pilot in Staffordshire. “She is bubbling with ideas and enthusiasm and will be a great addition to our team.”
I didn’t know @DrMichaelMosley but when we met he was funny, warm and very generous with his time. Genuinely passionate about helping others and furthering our understanding. I imagine he was like this with everyone. My heart goes out to his family. Such a sad loss.
