Balvinder Sidhu was raised in Smethwick in the West Midlands into a family of five girls before moving to Nottingham to study a degree in Psychology. During her time as a university student, Balvinder Sidhu discovered my passion for telling stories and contributed to the student magazine and radio station.

Balvinder Sidhu studied a Post-Graduate Broadcast Journalism diploma at Birmingham City University, which led to opportunities to work at BBC Radio Leicester and BBC WM before winning a competitive traineeship with ITV news. Balvinder Sidhu’s journey with ITV has taken me to Bristol where she worked as a producer, presenter and reporter for four years before moving back home to the Midlands.

Balvinder Sidhu currently present the early morning news bulletins for ITV News Central which airs during ITV’s breakfast programme Good Morning Britain. Balvinder Sidhu lives in Warwickshire with my husband and little boy. Outside of work, she loves dancing to the tunes of Zumba and at the weekends, she brings people together to prepare food for the homeless.
