Anna Jones presents the lunchtime show from 12-2pm every Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Since joining Sky News in 2005, she has anchored every programme on the channel and has presented both live on location and in the studio for a range of breaking news stories – hosting coverage from New York and Washington following the collapse of Lehman Brothers, from Somerset during the floods, and from Edinburgh in the run up to the Scottish referendum.

Anna Jones was live on air to break the news that the News of the World was to close after nearly 170 years in print, that Colonel Gaddafi had been captured and killed in Libya as well as the bombing of the Boston marathon, hosting the rolling coverage that followed. Anna Jones has interviewed a huge range of political figures and business leaders, as well as sports and entertainment stars, including William Hague, Bill Gates, Julian Assange, David Beckham, Oliver Stone and Angelina Jolie.

Before joining Sky News, Anna Jones spent 12 years at the BBC. She initially worked as a producer on BBC1’s Business Breakfast and BBC World and was on the launch team for BBC2’s Working Lunch. Anna Jones moved in front of the camera in 1995, presenting the business programmes on BBC World, the News Channel from its launch in 1997 and Business Breakfast on BBC1. Anna Jones then switched from business to news, joining the News Channel in 1999 where she spent the next 6 years, presenting alongside Matthew Amroliwala, Gavin Esler, Philip Hayton and Chris Lowe.

Before joining the BBC, Anna Jones spent four years working on business publications for Asia, editing a magazine for China.
